Will Hurricane Katrina change the way intermediaries do business? Generally organizations like Enterprise, the Local Initiatives Support Coalition and NeighborWorks America support community development corporations and community-based organizations by providing funding, training and direct technical assistance. NeighborWorks America also supports a national network of CDCs. But the urgency of need in the hurricane-ravaged areas led these three intermediaries, and others, to supplement their normal business practices and look for another method of operation.
