STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The following Community Board meetings have been scheduled for this week: COMMUNITY BOARD 1 The board office is closed tomorrow for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
The St. George/Tompkinsville/New Brighton/Cottage Hill/Snug Harbor/West Brighton committees will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 in the Walker Park Tennis House, 50 Bard Ave.
The Rosebank/Fort Wadsworth/Shore Acres area committee will also meet on Tuesday at 7:30 in Mount Carmel Hall at Fletcher and Amity streets, Rosebank.
The Mariners Harbor/Port Richmond/Arlington/Graniteville area committee will also meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 250 Park Ave., corner of Anderson Avenue, Port Richmond.
The Silver Lake/Sunnyside/Westerleigh/Willowbrook area committee will meet on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Silver Lake Tennis House, Hart Boulevard and Revere Street.
The Clifton/Concord/Stapleton area committee will meet on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center, 59 Wright St., Stapleton.

The full board will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the board office.
On the agenda, is a Department of City Planning application for a proposed text amendment to require indoor, secure, long-term bicycle parking in any new multi-family residential, community facility, and commercial buildings.
The proposed amendment would provide for bicycle parking and storage both at home and in the workplace, with standards that serve the needs of cyclists while providing flexibility to accommodate the needs of development.
Also on the agenda, a City Department of Parks and Recreation Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) application to modify zoning regulations governing the design of required waterfront public access areas in new development within the waterfront area.
The proposed action would update design regulations with minor changes to related bulk regulations and administrative requirements.
The guidelines would facilitate the design, construction and operation of public spaces on privately-owned land that would provide public access to the city's waterfront, including meaningful open space amenities for new development.
The purpose and need for the action is to modify existing zoning regulations, special permits and authorizations to allow greater design flexibility and improve the quality of public waterfront access.
The board meets in the Lou Caravone Community Services Building on the grounds of Sea View Hospital Rehabilitation Center and Home.

The Land Use Committee will host a public hearing on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the board office.

Also on the agenda is a Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) application by the city Department of Parks and Recreation for an amendment of the city map for a Sycamore Street addition to Blue Heron Park.
The application calls for the establishment of park additions to Blue Heron Park (in an area generally bounded by Barclay Avenue, Amboy Road, Poillon Avenue, and Tallman Street (a record street), the extinguishment of several record streets and any acquisition or disposition of real property related thereto.
