NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998 (QHWRA) that the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) has developed the required Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plans-a 5-Year Plan and an updated Annual Plan for the tenant-based Housing Choice Voucher Program. The 5-Year Plan describes VHDA's mission and the long-range goals and objectives for achieving the mission. The Annual Plan provides details about the strategy for handling operational concerns, residents' concerns and needs, and programs and services for the upcoming fiscal year. A public hearing will be held to discuss the PHA Plan and to invite public comment regarding the plan. Written comments may be submitted prior to or at the hearing. The hearing will be conducted on March 5, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. at the Virginia Housing Center, 4224 Cox Road, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. Not later than 45 days before the date of the hearing, the proposed PHA Plan and all information relevant to the hearing will be available for inspection by the public at the offices of the Virginia Housing Development Authority.VHDA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin or disability.(11256331)
